Marbella - A Journey Back in Time
Last week I happened to bump some few telephone numbers in the web looking for longtime friends at the Costa del Sol in Marbella. Amazingly surprised to see and talk to one and it all started there. I am very glad to hear from these people and chit chat with them for hours reminiscing the good old days and see what’s up at the moment. It is very good to know that everyone has succeeded in life and careers that includes the wonderful achievements of their children. But my heartfelt sadness for some who have endured sorrow in life in the different aspect of their journey in life with their families. Anyway all is good and I have seen the joy and success in general of their still flourishing life journey.
Now lets get on with it and see what’s happening with some reminiscing.
Edith Enriquez and Family - A very dear friend also of my mother who has now a big family in Spain. A native of Taal, Batangas, Edith has a big heart of goodness with her unlimited talent in cooking and resources in life. She had gone from solo and had successfully petitioned most of her family. While I was there in the early eighties, she used to be married to Danny of the Labarete Clan who also happens to have a very big family by the way. I still remember their son Glen, who now have grown to be a matured good looking guy. Edith is now a Spanish citizen and stable in life. I am very excited and looking forward to meeting her when she comes here in Maryland. Other members of her family are Baby Maricel and Boy with their chikitings, Susan and Tomas who I have not spoken to yet, Ate Yoly and children wheres Kuya Oyong by the way, Ruben and children. Special mentions are Malou and family who I saw in the webcam.
See them in photo:

Danny and Minna Llagas -This husband and wife tandem is one of the very best. Danny a soft spoken Bicolano Macho and Minna a multi talented person from Olongapo. I have the honor to express my deepest gratitude to these fellas as they been very patient to me during those years and the help they have extended to me. Malaki ang utang na loob natin sa mag asawa na to !! I fully appreciate all the wonderful things they did to me including the great advices in life. I hope to see them one day and we’ll have a really good time. They also have been blessed with two kids, I haven’t seen them though but surely in time. Both are Spanish citizens now, with the children grown up, they are stable in life and have a home they own in Estepona. Like Edith, Minna is one hell of a cook and I miss their cooking especially their Paella.
Gilbert and Levie Marquinez - Gilbert and I had a very long history. This guy is the most loved by many and I do really love this friend of mine and I am very proud of him. A native of Lemery, Batangas and also a friend of the family, I know and met all of them. Gilbert is a very happy person and he really is well liked by many. We have been thru tough times together and shared many ups and downs in life. Unfortunately I can’t recall too much of his wife Levi but anyway my warmest regards to you and your family.
Enrique and Bella - I haven’t spoken to them yet and I really am very excited looking forward to it. Enrique is a very accommodating person and very funny. A big hearted guy who is always willing to help, same applies to Bella of course. I remember their daughter Kristina who I babysit sometimes during my days with them also a mention of Wilma, Bella’s kid sis. To you guys a very warm regards.
Onnette and Lily Ann Gonzales- I have to thank this guy Onnette for visiting me after I got shot. We hanged around a lot during our days in Marbella. I can’t forget this dude as he is one good looking and a hella of a dancer. Lily Ann, his wife is a soft spoken young girl when we met. A very happy person and have a good smile. She is very sexy and gorgeous during our years of acquaintance and I hope she stayed the same. Also successful in life blessed with children, they own also a busy bar in San Pedro de Alcantara.
These are the wonderful people who became part of my life. Not including all of the other guys and gals who I haven’t mentioned. From the Al Andaluz Boys and their families and the other members of the above mentioned names with their indvidual family and friends. Sa susunod na article na lang at baka maging tele novela na itong article. Anyway I am very happy to come across with you guys again and hoping that God still continue to Bless Us All. I am very happy to hear from you and may success and good health be with you always.
